WEDNESDAY, MAY 9, ON KNTR’S “SPEAK OUT”

Host Roger Galloway and I conducted another great edition of the Frontier Technology Hour on Wednesday, May 9, from 11 a.m. – noon, on KNTR’s “Speak Out.”
With May arriving on the calendar, we discussed the two sides of Memorial Day. We spent a lot of time reviewing the true meaning of this holiday, which is remembering all the Service men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice – their lives – for our nation. I also highlighted some of the great programs that Frontier has implemented to help today’s veterans. And because Memorial Day is also about gathering with friends and family, I reviewed some exciting ways that technology can enhance this great holiday – especially those backyard barbeques and parties.
May 13, of course, is Mother’s Day – a day no one wants to forget. And while flowers and a card are always a great way to show your mom how much you love her, today’s technology also offers some non-traditional ways to show your thanks. We discussed some great technology gifts worth considering, including the iPad and compact, mobile photo printers.
This month also kicks off the wedding season across the U.S. And while there’s no debating the fact that technology has changed the face of many of society’s most long-standing institutions, few have been more impacted by technology as weddings and marriage. We reviewed the dramatic impact that technology has had on getting married, from how brides and grooms plan their wedding to new ways to share the big day with family and friends.
