NORTH OF KINGMAN AT D’AMBRO PONDS

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office along with Arizona Game and Fish will be assisting with this years annual Kids Fishing Day at D’Ambro Ponds in Kingman on Saturday, June 2nd from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Free hot dogs and drinks will be provided.  Arizona Game and Fish will supply fishing poles and bait.  Sheriff Tom Sheahan is scheduled to award a trophy for the biggest fish caught.  This family event is free for children between the ages of 5 and 16.  Donations to D’Ambro pond will be greatly appreciated.  D’Ambro pond is located north on Stockton Hill Road at milepost 26.  Please pre-register on Saturday, May 26th, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Arizona Game and Fish Office at 5325 N. Stockton Hill Road in Kingman.

The family of SGT David W. Nadrchal Jr. USMC, has requested a welcome home mission for their son, who has just returned from a tour in Afghanistan.   This is SGT Nadrchal’s 3rd combat deployment & the 1st & 2nd have been to Iraq.  SGT Nadrchal served with the VMU-1 while in Afghanistan & now will be stationed at MCAS Mira Mar, CA with his parent Command MACS-38.  SGT Nadrchal is the son of local residents Sonny & Jewell’s Borrelli & has been a resident of Lake Havasu since 1999 & graduated from Telesis High School in 2004.  SGT Nadrchal enlisted in the USMC in 2004 upon his graduation.

Let’s ALL turn out in a big “Havasu Patriotic” way to honor David’s service to his country & show our gratitude & appreciation.  Celebration to be held at the Elk’s Lodge 3532 N. McCulloch Blvd. Lake Havasu City, commencing at 1000 hrs.  Lake Havasu City Police will be providing an escort from the staging area to the Elk’s Lodge.

CHAMBER’S MAY AFTER-HOURS BUSINESS NETWORKING

The May Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce Business After-Hours Mixer will be hosted by The Nautical Beachfront Resort at the Wet Bar on Thursday, May 17, at 1000 McCulloch Blvd N. Meet and network with others in the business community, while learning about one of our local Chamber of Commerce members.

The mixer will be from 5-7 p.m. Cost is $5 for members and $10 general admission. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served.
